MaMa

The MaMa project (2023-) aims to study how MAIJU wearable could be used in a rural setting for studying early motor development, how the environment affects motor development, and how it links to later cognitive and social development. The study is conducted in rural Malawi, in East Africa.

The MaMa project aims to assess technical suitability of wearable methods in typically developing infants in the rural settings in Malawi, and to study how early motor development is affected by the environment, or how it links to later cognitive and social development. If succesful, wearable methods could be later used to study developmental effects of nutrional or medical interventions.
